Christmas Teddy Bear

This is an earlier made Christmas card (actually the hat was missing, so I waulked and added it now) which I sent out now this year.
The teddy bear is wishing Merry Christmas!

We in Finland get new Christmas stamps for each Christmas (it would be nice to know how it is in other countries!).

These Christmas stamps are designed by Minna Immonen http://www.minnakortti.fi/minna_l_immonen/
I have always liked her postcard designs, and I like these stamps as well.

Waiting for Post

Post matters are not delivered during Christmas time, so our mailbox has been empty for a while, and now it's already very much waiting for new deliveries... :)

Rabbit Post to Taiwan

Hsin-Yi likes rabbits, and I used an old rabbit postage in the envelope of her Christmas card, and drew a rabbit as a decoration.
Hsin-Yi told that she had got the card just on Christmas Eve!

Swap-bot Card

I made this card using the new papers I just bought. - I really love these papers!
This card is for the swap where several postage stamps had to be used to send the card, and postage stamps should be used also in decoration of the front side.
In front side I have a piece of nice paper with three used postage stamps glued on it and additionally decorated by using Artland and Queen rubber stamps.

Beautiful Block of Papers

I found this beautiful block of papers in Panduro hobby shop in Stockholm.
I always visit this shop when I am in Stockholm, and I have always looked there the scrapbooking materials also, but haven't found anything usable in that area earlier. This small (15 cm x 15 cm) block of different beautiful papers again was something I immediately wanted to buy to be used to decorate envelopes. I managed to find there also envelopes in same size, but didn't understand to buy more than a package of five. Now I happily found out that this Swedish hobby shop http://www.pandurohobby.com/com/ has also a Finnish Internet shop from where I easily can order more!

Tea Package Inspiration

I drink a lot of tea, and nowadays I drink camomile tea in the evenings. The English camomile tea I use to buy is packed in such a nice package, which I always admire. Now I got an idea to use the opened package by glueing it on an envelope, and I like the result!
On the back side I glued some brown paper with a stamp and drawing, because I felt it also needed something, when the front side is so heavy because of the glued package.

Cat Stamps

There was last weekend a big handicraft trade fair in Tampere, Finland. I was there on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and didn't have time enough to see everything!

Among other things I bought this package of small clear stamps and a clear acrylic block to be able to use them.
- So finally I was able to get familiar with these unmounted clear stamps which I have been wondering in the Internet shops!

A letter to Ilona

I sent this letter to my mail art friend Ilona http://missivemaven.blogspot.com/

I used the idea which I saw this spring in a restaurant in Brussels. In their menu they had surrounded different meal alternatives a little bit like this, and I liked it a lot, and copied the idea in my note book to be used afterwards.
I think the idea really works in an envelope also!

A glorious letter from Argentina

I got this beautiful letter today from my dear friend from Argentina.
Thank you so much!

Huge spider stamps were possibly too big for the front side (I know that my friend doesn't glue the stamps, but the post official there wants to do it by himself!) :)

Lovely sheet of stamps

I love this sheet of 5 stamps, which is a design of Laura Laine and was published 6.5.2009.
I used one stamp of it into this underlying bithday card envelope to my sister in law. I didn't use just the stamp but additionally a piece of the sheet background and then continued some lines by using drawing ink and coloured pencil.
