Our beloved cat Sissi has her first birthday today.
I took this picture of her less than one year ago when she still lived with her breeder http://www.mustikkatassu.com/zildan/
and we were waiting for getting her home.
The Finnish blog http://pienilintu.blogspot.com/ announced a photo competition with theme "Soft" and I sent Sissi's picture there. Voting started today and is open the whole week. - So if you happen to like the picture, please vote for it! - Competition was open only for Finnish competitors, but voting is open for everyone. Pictures are inside the post http://pienilintu.blogspot.com/2012/03/pehmea.html and the comparative numbers to be voted are on the right sidebar on the blog, Sissi's picture has number 43.
The competition is sponsored by Teippitarha http://www.teippitarha.fi/index.php, a wonderful Finnish shop selling beautiful masking tapes. I just got aware of this and made my first order yesterday, because I could't miss this beautiful postage related tape:

Todella ihana kissakuva! Itsekkäistä syistä tosin äänestin omaa kilpailukuvaani (anteeksi...) mutta tämä kuva on mielettömän hieno. Kun selasin kuvat läpi ensimmäisen kerran, tämä jäi päällimmäisenä mieleeni - jos en olisi osallistunut kisaan olisin äänestänyt tätä. Kissan takaa tuleva valo on aivan mahtava, ja yksityiskohdat karvan tarkkuudella tosi taidokkaita!!
