Cat Queen

I sent an art card of an artwork by my favorite Finnish artist Helene Schjerfbeck to an English Postcrosser who is interested in art. I added a question about her favorite artist into the card and when registering my card she told me the answer: Friedensreich Hundertwasser. I Googled and found out how wonderful colorful art this man has made. Because the dark colored Schjerfbeck art card I had sent was something totally different from Hundertwasser art, I wanted to send a new card.

I then used my lovely cat Killi and the artwork by Hundertwasser as inspiration and made this "Cat Queen" card by using watercolor and water soluble ink pencils. - I was happy then to receive a message from her that she liked the card. :)

Russian Village and Stamps

This beautiful art card of a lovely Russian watercolor painting arrived from a Russian Postcrosser.

Aren't the Russian stamps beautiful!?

I love especially the tiny animal stamps. These three ones I received from a Postcrosser in Ukrainian, who sent me stamps from Ukrainian, Russia and Belarus. The size of them is only 18 mm x 26 mm!

Good Luck Postcrossing Card

This Postcrossing card arrived from Netherlands.

The sender tells that she collects four-leaf clovers and wants to send some good luck around the world by attaching them to the cards she sends.
What a lovely idea!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

This beautiful art card of the painting "Laundresses" by Czech painter Rudolf Kremlicka (1886-1932) arrived as a valentine's day card from Ivana. - Again a painter about whom I didn't know earlier, very interesting!

Pink Freesia

I haven't seen pink freesias earlier, but saw them on Saturday in the flower shop close to us, and bought one.   Now I used it as inspiration and painted this flower card to be sent as a Postcrossing card to Taiwan.

Scandinavian Shamanistic Drum

I painted this card to a Postcrosser who wanted a card regarding the mythology of the sender's country.
Shamanistic drums are from Northern Finland and I used page http://www.thuleia.com/shamandrum.html to know what kind of symbols are used in them.
- Let's hope this kind of a drum could exist! :)
