Fiftieth Birthday

I just had my fiftieth birthday, which I and my husband spent in Greece.

Meanwhile I had got several beautiful congratulation postcards:

Helene Schjerfbeck to Ella

I visited the Retretti summer exhibition "Helene Schjerfbeck and Sisters in Art" http://www.retretti.fi/index.asp?language=2 in Punkaharju, Finland

Schjerfbeck (1862 - 1946) is one of my favorite Finnish artists, so I bought this card of a painting by her.

I used a stamp, which is made of one of her paintings, and glued to the card the ticket to the exhibition, which also has a picture of a part of one of her paintings.

Burberry and Teddy Bear Theme to Hsin-Yi

This card is of a painting "Burberry world" by Johanna Oras http://www.johannaoras.com.

We visited her exhibition "Still life in wonderland" this summer, and I bought the card from there.

I considered selecting Burberry as the theme of the backside of the card, but ended then up using teddy bear instead!

The Sea

This card of the sea is the latest one I have sent to Ivana.

I was happy still to have this stamp of the Finnish Swedish explorer Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld's exploratory ship Sofia to be used in this sea card.

A Cute Postcard from Taiwan

This very cute postcard came today from Hsin-Yi.

I like her drawings inside the card and on the envelope!

The flower stamps are very beautiful.
