Danish Country Romantic Style

I saw a beautiful article in the newspaper about a Finnish person, who loves Danish country romantic style (which also I like a lot!) and has furnished her house according to it. I liked the pictures and used them to make a card and envelope to PostMuse.

I sewed small pieces of lace on the envelope; it will be nice to get to know if they still existed when she got this!

Magic Drum

I sent this big size card to Hsin-Yi, and she just informed she had got it and liked it! Nice!

This is a picture of an artwork by Merja Aletta Ranttila, who lives in Lapland, Finland. The name of the artwork "Noitarumpu" means magic drum, a rite item of a wise man in Finnish Lapland.

Inside this envelope I had earlier sent her a couple of cards of paintings by Helene Schjerfbeck, who is my favorite Finnish painter. The biggest postage is of one of her paintings.

Swap-bot Letter to Australia

I made this envelope for the swap "Mail me a decorated envie #3".

I used a children book which I had bought from the flea market, and used my new Fiskars "Stamp" scissors to cut decorations to be glued on the envelope.

I earlier posted about new vegetable stamps http://sfimail.blogspot.com/2010/03/vegetable-stamps.html which can be customized with eye and mouth stickers, and I mentioned, that I don't at all like the stickers. Now I totally changed my mind when I saw how well the customized stamp suits to this envelope!

I mostly see just flower stamps coming from Germany, so this collection of stamps was also a nice surprise!
